Become a Positive Realities workshop leader

Positive Realities is a local youth charity who support young people with positive psychology approaches to healthy wellbeing… and we need you!!

We have recently launched our “Social Hub” for those aged 14-24 who would like to make new friends, try different activities and learn about improving their social skills. Our regular venue is Dance Base, who have very kindly provided a space for us and we meet every fortnight, on a Thursday, 6-8pm. more

Open Doors 2016 was a huge success!

Thank you everyone who made the Open Doors event so amazing this year – the artists who opened their studios, the artists exhibiting in the galleries, the friendly and helpful staff, our brilliant volunteers and the delightful visitors who made the weekend such a pleasure.

The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive and we look forward to the Makers’ Fair 10th & 11th and 17th & 18th of December. More details on that to follow very soon…

Where has Biddy been hiding?

14716086_10209379731122966_3247256700660937771_nFor those enquiring about the health and whereabouts of the once ubiquitous ‘Biddy’ she is convalescing from knee surgery precipitated by a change of diet from Postmen to squirrels, the chasing of which popped her knee.

Here’s a photo of her enforced convalescence until she is fully repaired or the tunnel is completed and she escapes.

Reminder : TENANTS’ FILM NIGHT – 31st OCT HALLOWEEN SPECIAL

Once again, the Wee Theatre opens its 2 doors to St Margaret House tenants.

This time, it is for a Halloween Special Screening of ‘SHAUN OF THE DEAD’!

Join us from 7 to 9pm on Monday 31st October for some laughs, screams, chats and an EXTRA SPECIAL SURPRISE… No more will be said. Come along!

Feel free to bring your own drinks and snacks but remember there is no Wee Theatre cleaner so… tidy, clean or recycle whatever your bring.

Fellowships and Artist Residency – RHSC and DCN, Little France, Edinburgh

We are currently seeking expressions of interest from creative practitioners for the Art and Therapeutic Design (ATD) programme for the new Department of Clinical Neuroscience (DCN) hospital in Little France, Edinburgh. These exciting opportunities include three 12 month fellowships and a 12 month artist residency.

Car Park will be Closed for Resurfacing

road-work-signThe St Margaret’s House car park will be closed on the following weekends due to resurfacing.

5th /6th November

12th /13th November

19th /20th November

With regards to parking, only the front car park as you come off Smokey Brae can be used, all access to the rear ST Margaret’s car park will be stopped.  You will be able to use the Meadow Bank House / Registers of Scotland car park during this time.
