Private View: Saturday 15th October, 2.30.pm. All welcome – drinks and nibbles served
Edinburgh Palette resident, Jacqui Higgs, would like to welcome you all to her forthcoming solo exhibition at &Collective, Bridge of Allan, Stirling.
This is a continuation of a series of small and larger scale paintings related to the tanker/frigate image, as well as a study of urban landscapes and the Scottish seascapes, using on-site drawings of urban seascapes and occasional references to figuration. more
We’re excited to announce that this October HERE + NOW will be delivering a series of FREE guided walking and cycling tours exploring some of Edinburgh’s brilliant local community, growing and arts projects! http://spacetosit.eventbrite.co.uk
These tours will stop in at community growing or arts projects that received a seat as part of the #SpaceToSit event earlier in the summer, with speakers giving an overview of projects along the route. These include Summerhall, The Rust Garden, The Grove Garden at Harrison Park, the Wikihouse at Tollcross Primary School, Wauchope Community Garden, and St Margaret’s House.
This summer a number of artists from Edinburgh Palette were invited to create site-specific works for The Neverending Glen – an immersive art trail featuring installations, sculptures, performances and events taking place during the Kelburn Garden Party. Now in it’s second year, the Neverening Glen aims to enhance the audience’s experience of the amazing Kelburn Estate with it’s magical and ancient forestry, mesmerizing views over the Atlantic and astounding location on the west coast.
Sophia paid a visit to the Glen earlier this month to check on how the artworks were doing. See some of the photos below and for more photos visit the Facebook page (and don’t forget to give us your “like”)

How do you feel about co-design? Do you use any co-design techniques when developing a project? Or is co-design something you’ve heard of but are wondering what exactly it means?
HERE+NOW are developing a co-design seminar that will answer all these questions and more! A condensed practical training session addressing the ‘what is’ and ‘how to’ of co-design, aimed at those in the architecture, design, place-making or active travel professions. We’ll be sharing some of the co-design tools we have developed over the last 2 years and applying these ‘live’ to show you what co-design is all about and how it can benefit your work.
A few residents have already started to work on a generous programme of events/workshops for families, art lovers and visitors from Edinburgh and beyond. We can only recommend you to join and open your studio as well if you have not done so already.
St Margaret’s House is a vibrant and exciting space bursting with creativity and we’d love to showcase what is going on inside our doors.
The event will take place on Saturday 22nd & Sunday 23rd October 2016. more
