CALLING ALL ZINE-ST★RS !

Tin Roof are now registering participants for the Tin Roof ϟ Zine Fair running in partnership with Print Festival Scotland.

Tin Roof invites submissions from artists, collectives, publishers and presses interested in taking part in an event to sell, network and enjoy print. We are looking for zines, artists’ books, editions, publications, and comics of any theme.

The event will be held in Tin Roof, 15 Ure Street.

Lost | Have you seen Alan’s Golden Bike?

Exhibit A - The missing golden bike

Exhibit A (Golden Bike hanging in exhibition at St Margaret’s House – see photo right) was left leaning against the Chris Hoy Golden Pillar Box at the bottom of Hanover Street on Sunday morning (see photo below).

The owner left to to post a letter…

Less than 24 hours later, the Golden Bike had gone!

Printbase update | Competition winner

From the completed questionnaires that were distributed to the studios, Printbase have selected a winner who receives a one month pass to use the Printbase and its facilities.
Chrissy (Publisher, Artmag) drew the names out of a hat and Annie (Studio 4.33) was the winner. She will be the recipient of the months free membership, starting 1st June. The Printbase would like to thank to all the questionnaire’s participants.

Only a couple of days left to apply to Handmade Edinburgh

Handmade Edinburgh is a three day selling event and will take place at The Hub from Friday 28th to Sunday 30th October 2016 (Private View evening on Thursday 27th October 2016). Handmade Edinburgh sets very high standards, representing the finest contemporary craft makers from Scotland and beyond. Selected by an experienced team, Handmade Edinburgh is open to makers & artists resident in the UK working to the highest level in ceramics, glass, textiles, jewellery, metal, wood, stone, mixed media, leather, furniture, paper, prints, fashion and sculpture. Makers don’t need to live in Scotland or be Scottish to take part in the event, although we would like to encourage applications from makers in Scotland.
