Culture Gate from Shanghai are warmly inviting all residents and friends of St Margaret’s House to join them for drinks and nibbles at the opening of their Shanghai Exhibition, displaying works by students from the Culture Gate Art Centre based there.
Evian Lu, a longtime friend and contact of the building, will be setting up the show in the following days – it opens on Monday 18th of August in the lobby of the Ground Floor (G.25), from 12-4pm.
The exhibition marks the beginning of an exchange programme between Edinburgh Palette & Culture Gate, which will hopefully develop into exhibitions, exchanges and educational events.
The values we share with Culture Gate are encapsulated by the proverb that we recently installed our third floor office, translated below. We hope you will join us in welcoming them into our community and the wider Scottish art world on Monday.
