Deadline now extended to'Journey Lines' Image of Portobello station
this Sunday, 1st May 2016

3 small artist awards of £500 each are available to artists with connections to Portobello, Joppa, Brunstane or the Scottish Borders.

Imaginative site specific proposals around the concept of ‘Journey Lines’ for one of the proposed locations of Brunstane Station, and sites near to old disused railway stations at Portobello and Joppa, are sought.

Invited artist, Dr Chris Dooks, will also be creating a new work for ‘Journey Lines’ relating to journeying and travel, around issues of dementia.

‘Journey Lines’ Art Rail Commissions will run during August and September 2016, funded by ScotRail’s Art & Cultural Fund, as part of Art Walk Porty.

Art Walk Porty 2016Coming soon…

We’ll be writing again soon about how to apply to the main Art Walk programme for this year taking place from 2-4 September 2016.

Applications will be open from 7th May, to include site specific works, artist open studios, artworks in local shops, and the maker’s market.

We’re also busy getting together our crowdfunding campaign which will be launched too on 7th May.
