Newly developed studios at St Margaret’s House and a freshen up

It all started in 2008, the idea for endless studios and a mash up of artists, makers, community groups, and start-ups all together in one building sharing ideas, collaborating, and creating side by side. St. Margaret’s House grew organically, floor by floor, with services added one by one.

Fast forward 2016 and this year is no different – unused space is being reclaimed and converted to meet the ongoing demand for studios — the car park, the trustees room, the office on the third floor, even the switch room — all in a bid to increase the amount of studio space and workshop spaces available to tenants.

Other improvements are taking shape too – the front entrance is brighter, Gallery 1 will boast a new welcome area, better lighting and the projection room will become more easily accessible. In direct response to your wishes and comments, the carpark is getting a new loading zone, new lorry delivery area, taxi rank, visitor parking, disabled parking, etc.
Even more improvements are planned for the coming months too.

Cheers,
Dale
