What’s On

Rose Street Project
Saturday 21 November - Thursday 7 January 2015 All Day

Several visual artists holding studios in St Margaret’s House have created installations and displays in shopfronts along Rose Street for Christmas. The project was curated by Karl Finn Graham, and has been made possible through partnership funding from Essential Edinburgh.

The overarching aim of The Rose Street Project was to bring artists out of the building and into contact with new audiences and spaces, allowing the works to be experienced differently than in the formal gallery setting. The works are to remain there until early January 2016 and most can be seen by day and night.

Sheila Masson, one of the visual artists involved, has taken some incredible pictures of the installations though we highly recommend seeing them and supporting this grassroots project in person.
